For example, many cultivars of purple coneflower, Echinacea purpurea, are good, long-season bloomers, but only the species has been listed. The following plants were selected from perennials that have displayed a long-season of bloom at the Missouri Botanical Garden based on several years of bloom data. In many cases, only the species or a good, representative cultivar of a species has been included.
